Denise Richards credits her daughters as an inspiration for black women!
During the Midnight Mission Easter celebration in Los Angeles on Friday, where she explained the reason for the change, the former blonde, 53, explained the reason for her change exclusively to PEOPLE.
“I went dark because actually my older daughters encouraged me to do it because they saw my pictures when I started acting and [when I was] a little younger, and they’re like, ‘Mom, we think you should go dark again,'” Richards tells PEOPLE, adding that she did it “on a whim” after the proposal.

Lifetime Housewife hunting the star and her ex-husband Charlie Sheen have two daughters: Lola (18) and Sami (20). After the divorce, Richards adopted his daughter Eloise (12) in 2011.

The actress married Aaron Phypers in 2018, and he adopted Eloise the following year.
While speaking with PEOPLE, Richards opened up about her family’s holiday traditions ahead of Easter weekend.
“We love to cook and our family is together,” she said. “At Easter, there is always a search for Easter eggs. My older girls are a bit older, but it’s fun for them to see their little sister still enjoying the Easter Bunny and the Easter egg hunt.”

When it comes to Two and a half Men Alum, 58, joined the group, Richards said it all just “depends” on the holiday. However, “He is always welcome,” she said.
“The more, the better in our house. We just cook a lot of food, friends and family come over, so it’s always fun.”

Despite past issues with cast member Erika Girardi, Richards said she won’t let past disagreements influence her decision.
“I always say, ‘Never say never.’ I have absolutely nothing against her. Sometimes there are just stupid fights on the show,” Richards told PEOPLE. “We’ll see what happens.”

Denise later said she got sick with a virus before dinner.
“I didn’t want to not go because I didn’t want to [the housewives] to say, ‘Oh, she didn’t show up,'” said Denise Gorgi, 45. “But whatever … I made an ass of myself.”
