In 1986, Devaraj met Indian actress Chandralekha on the sets of the movie “Sikku”. Soon, they became good friends and later fell in love with each other. In the same year, on June 27, 1986, the two got married. After her marriage, Chandralekha gave up her film career. On July 4, 1987, their son Prajwal Devaraj was born, and on January 29, 1988, their son Pranam Devaraj was born. Both of his sons are actors.
