Devdatta Gajanan Nage was born on Thursday, February 5, 1981, in Alibag town, Raigad district, Maharashtra, India (42 years; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Aquarius. He rose to fame in 2014 when he played Lord Khandoba, an incarnation of Lord Shiva, in the Marathi television show Jai Malhar. Later, he acted in Marathi serials Mrutunjay Karnachi Amargatha, Kalay Tasmay Namah and Bajirao Mastani. In 2020, he played the role of Dadasaheb Surve (Deva Don) in the Marathi serial Doctor Don and in 2022 he played the role of Tushar Desai in Jeev Majha Guntala.

He made his film debut with the 2014 Marathi film Sangharsh, in which he played the role of Avinash Waghmare. In 2014, he made his Bollywood debut playing the role of a police officer in the film Mumbai Dobala! In 2014, he played Inspector Shankar Gaikwad in Satyamov Jayate alongside John Abraham. He played the role of Suryaji Malusare in the 2020 Hindi film Tanhaji alongside Ajay Devgn and Sharad Kelkar.

He got his big break in 2023 when he played Bajrang (Hanuman) in the mythological film Adipurush, based on the Indian epic Ramayana, alongside Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan. Devdatta said in an interview that he chants Jai Sri Ram every day before shooting and said:
Every day before we started shooting, we chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’. It must be said that Goddess Saraswati is in the hands of Manoj Muntashir (dialogue writer). He breathes life into this epic story with his own writing. ”
