Rukhsar Rehman made his debut in the film industry in 1992 with Yaad Rakhegi Duniya opposite Aditya Pancholi. She was 17 years old and in ninth grade.
In the same year, she starred opposite Rishi Kapoor in JK Bihari’s film “Inteha Pyar Ki”. Ruksaar Rehman comes from an orthodox Muslim family and her father did not support her pursuing a career in the film industry, so she moved back to Lucknow. After completing her studies, she started her own fashion designing career in Lucknow. In 2005, she was cast in Ram Gopal Verma’s film Sarkar. When she heard she would be starring alongside Amitabh Bachchan, she grabbed the role. She returned to the big screen in 2005 with Ram Gopal Verma’s crime drama D, in which she played Randeep Hooda’s girlfriend Bhakti Bhakti Bhatnagar.
