Devika Bulchandani is an Indian-born American corporate woman. On September 7, 2022, she became the focus of attention when global advertising and public relations agency Ogilvy appointed her as global chief executive officer (CEO). She joined the company in March 2021 and was appointed global CEO in September 2022, making Devika Bulchandani the first Indian-origin woman to lead a global advertising agency. Before joining Ogilvy in 2021, she worked at international advertising agency McCann for more than 26 years in various roles.

Devika Bulchandani was born Devika Seth Bulchandani in 1973 in Amritsar, Punjab (age 53; as of 2022). She completed her school education from Wareham Girls School, Dehradun. After completing her schooling, she joined St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai to pursue her BA in English and Psychology. From 1990 to 1992, Devika Bulchandani studied for a master’s degree in communication at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication. Devika Bulchandani started working in advertising agencies in 1995 soon after completing her college studies. She began working in the strategy department of global advertising agency McCann in 1997. During her tenure at McCann, she was dubbed a “Woman with a Beautiful Soul” in a company article. In March 2012, she joined McCann’s sister company McCann Worldgroup as managing director, executive vice president of global strategy, and served until July 2014. Her efforts at the company have reportedly resulted in new business for several well-known international brands including Absolut, Enterprise Holdings, World of Hyatt, TD Bank and Audi of America.
