DeVonta Smith Gets Engaged to Girlfriend Mya Danielle in New Year's Eve Rooftop Proposal

DeVonta Smith and Mya Danielle enter 2025 as an engaged couple. The Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver, 26, proposed to Danielle on New Year’s Eve, and she proudly shared the news in a post on her Instagram on Dec. 31. post title. In the photos, the couple can be seen on the roof of a tall building in front of a colorful flower arch with roses, sunflowers and greenery.

Both couples wore matching black outfits for the proposal and despite the rain that was evident in the photo, they both looked radiant in the photos as Smith placed the ring on Danielle’s hand.

Candles decorated the floor of the painting and a violinist was present to serenade the happy couple.

Danielle also shared a close-up video of the ring on her Instagram story, captioning it, “🥹🥹🥹 ends the year engaged” and jokingly adding, “Shoot for me 🤣.”

The exciting news comes after the couple recently announced that they are expecting another bundle of joy. Smith and Danielle, who first announced their relationship on Instagram in June 2023, welcomed their first child, one-year-old daughter Kyse, in October 2023.

Danielle shared a few snaps from their daughter’s first birthday, featuring Kyse wearing a puffy pink dress. “Hi, Kyse is ONE YEAR OLD! Happy 1st Birthday to my sweet baby love. Time has flown by so fast I can’t believe she’s already a year old. 🤍💗,” she captioned the post

She also added a humorous addition to the caption, mocking her now-fiancé: “** by the end of the shoot she started acting like her dad and was over the top with the pictures 🤣.”

In late December 2024, the couple shared a post of the two of them and Kyse wearing identical navy blue outfits. Danielle also showed off her growing baby bump. “Happy holidays from our growing family🤍❄️,” she wrote in the caption.

The couple’s happy moment comes on the heels of another happy moment for the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend, who defeated their NFC East rivals the Dallas Cowboys in a 41-7 victory on Sunday, December 29th. Smith has contributed to the Eagles’ success this season, with 68 receptions for 833 yards and eight touchdowns in just 13 games. The former Heisman Trophy winner from the University of Alabama is only the fourth wide receiver to be honored with this award. The Eagles selected him in the 2021 NFL Draft.
