  • According to Dania, when she was in school, she was not interested in pursuing a career in acting; However, after attending college, she began visiting theaters and became interested in acting. Dhanya spoke about this in an interview and said:

    I never thought about acting when I was in school. Everything changed when I studied mass communication and journalism at Mal Ivanyos College in Trivandrum. At the time, he co-starred in a student project production. I used to go to school plays. While I loved theater, I fell in love with acting. When I see a character on stage, there’s nothing else going on in my mind. I felt like I wanted to study acting and learn more. But when I told this at home, there was initial pushback. Go study journalism and do drama. ”

  • While studying for her undergraduate degree, Dhanya worked on Malayalam short films and music albums directed by her friends. She has worked on many short films like “Desperatia”, “Extreme” and “Heart of a Dog”, as well as music albums like “Oru Sandhya” and “Chameli”. In 2017, the short film “Heart of a Dog” starring Dhanya was selected for the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK). Dhanya spoke about this in an interview and said:

    I didn’t even think about becoming a movie star. I didn’t watch much movies. I have a degree in Mass Communications from Mar Evanious College. The next year I started acting in a friend’s short film. Short films “Desperate” and “Extremity”, music videos “Oru Sandhya”, “The Heart of a Dog”, “Chameli” and many other works. “The Heart of a Dog” by Sreekrishnan Chetan was selected for IFFK 2017.
