Dharmesh Yelande is an Indian dancer, choreographer and actor. He is popularly known as “Mr. Dharmesh”.

In 2009, he participated in Zee TV’s “Dance India Dance (Season 2)” and won the runner-up position in the show.
He has appeared in spin-offs of the reality show Dance India Dance (DID); DID Lil Champs as “Jeetumoni (Team Dharmesh)”, DID Doubles as “Geeta Kapoor’s Assistant”, Dance Ke Superkids as ” Captain of Team Wakao”. In 2011, he participated in the “Dancer Superstar” program and became the champion of the program. In 2013, he became a judge of the Colors Marathi show “MAD – MhanjeAssal Dancer”. Since 2015, he has been the captain of the Star Plus dance reality show “Dancing Plus”. In 2020, he participated in Colors TV’s reality show “Khatron Ke Khiladi 10”.

In 2010, he made his debut as a choreographer with the title song of the Bollywood film Tees Maar Khan. In 2013, he made his debut in the movie “ABCD: Any Body Can Dance”, playing the role of “Dharmesh/D”.
He has acted in several Bollywood films; ABCD 2 (2015), Banjo (2016), Nawabzadeh (2018) and Street Dancer (2020). In 2020, he made his debut in Gujarati films with the movie “Safalta 0Km”.

- He is popularly known as Mr. Dharmesh. Sometimes, even his mother calls him “Sir.” Talking about how he got his nickname, he said:
A few years ago, my students performed on a reality show and the judges, including Ms. Geeta, were impressed. So when they asked who their choreographer was, they said “Mr. Dharmesh”. My performance was scheduled after theirs, and when the judges asked me if my choreographer was also “Mr. Dharmesh,” I shyly told them that I was Dharmesh. That’s why I became the popular Mr. Dharmesh. “
- He loves dogs and has a pet dog named Coffee.
- He has loved dancing since he was a child. Prabhu Deva and his guru Krishna Rao were his inspirations and he often imitated Govinda’s movements. He started learning break dancing and Bharatnatyam dance and eventually joined Krishna Rao’s dance classes.
- In his hard days he worked as a laborer. Later he quit his job as a laborer and started running a Sev Usal Laari stall next to his father’s tea stall. He did this so he could have more time dancing.
- Early in his career, he worked as Gujjars such as Hitu Kanodia, Naresh Kanodia and Vikram Thakor A backup dancer for a special superstar.
- He has also acted in Bhojpuri movies.
- He also considers Remo D’Souza to be one of his biggest sources of inspiration. According to him,
Mr. Remo is also an amazing dancer. Whenever I see him, we only discuss dance. He is a man with such wonderful dancing skills that one cannot help but wonder “Ki kya idea hai bhai, yeh step to dhoom macha dega”.
- He runs a dance academy called ‘D’Virus Dance Academy’ in Vadodara.
