He has served as the host of the main show ‘Jan Man’ and the weekly show ‘Press Conference’ of the Hindi news channel ABP News. Dibang began his journey in journalism with the Indian English-language news weekly The Illustrated Weekly of India. He later joined The Times of India in New Delhi as a correspondent for its weekly The Sunday Times. He got the opportunity to work as an anchor on television when Indian journalist Surendra Pratap Singh (late), also known as SP Singh, invited him to join the Hindi news channel “Aaj Tak”. Dibon accepted the job and worked for the channel. After retiring from Aaj Tak, he joined the Indian news media company “NDTV” and became the executive editor of the channel. Soon, he was appointed as the managing director of the news channel. While at NDTV, he hosted the first one-hour Hindi debate show ‘Muqabla’ on NDTV India; the show won the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Talk Show in 2006, becoming the first ever Indian Award-winning Hindi talk show in the predominantly English category. In 2007, Dibang resigned as managing director of NDTV but continued to host the debate program “Muqabla”. Later, he moved to another TV news channel “ABP News”.
