In September 2020, Diganth Manchale and his wife Aindrita Ray, whose names emerged in the notorious drugs case in the Kannada film industry, were arrested by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) Summons. Meanwhile, a video of his wife inviting people to a special Raya bash at Bally’s Casino went viral. Later, she issued a clarification in multiple news channels that she was doing it just for publicity and that more people from the Kannada film industry were also involved in the casino’s marketing at the request of the casino’s marketing team.

Days later, Deegans was questioned a second time by the CCB over allegations that he had deleted some text messages he had sent to several suspected African drug traffickers. Diganth commented on this and said,
I’m working with CCB. If necessary, I would go before them again and ask about it. ”

In 2017, Geetha Vishnu, the grandson of Bengaluru industrialist Adikeshavulu, was accused of having 850 grams of marijuana hidden in his Mercedes-Benz car after he met with an accident in which he and five others were injured. It was revealed he had been partying with friends and smoking marijuana before the accident. Some local news channels reported that actors Prajwal Devaraj, Diganth Manchale and Abishek Ambareesh were witnesses to the accident but fled the scene of the crime. Deegans denied the rumours, saying he was shooting a movie in Kanakpura when the accident happened and it had nothing to do with any drugs.

- According to Diganth’s official Instagram account, his favorite sports activities include cycling, badminton, rock climbing, surfing and diving.
- Diganth Manchale is very passionate about backflips. In June 2022, while on vacation in Goa with his wife, Deegans dislocated his cervical spine while performing a stunt on a trampoline, causing numbness in his fingers. He was later airlifted to Bengaluru and admitted to Manipal Hospital.

- Deegans became a vegetarian after an incident in which a pregnant elephant was fed a pineapple filled with crackers made headlines. He urges his fans to switch to a plant-based diet.
