Holsten’s Patisserie in New Jersey has listed the stand — an unforgettable piece of TV history — on eBay

Fans have a chance to own an iconic piece of TV history!

Holsten’s in Bloomfield, New Jersey, is auctioning off the original booth where the character Tony Soprano and his family sat during the final scene of the HBO series The Soprano family. The eBay listing has already earned a top bid of more than $76,000 as of Saturday night – with two days left for potential bidders.

The ice cream shop announced the auction on its official Instagram page on Wednesday, letting customers know that “the time has come” to part with the seats that actors Edie Falco, Robert Iler and the late James Gandolfini once sat in during the show’s dramatic finale.

“All good things need an upgrade sometimes,” Holsten wrote in the caption, along with a picture of Gandolfini smiling in a seat and a couple of photos of the empty booth as it looks today. “Familiar Sporanos booth is getting a much needed face lift. As of today, we are selling our dear stand on eBay.”

“Obviously, we’re not going to change the nostalgia of our beloved store… we’re not crazy! We’re just polishing the place up!” Holsten added.

The post also included a note from Holsten owners explaining that they “don’t want to do this” but that ultimately “the integrity of the cabin [is] now compromised.”

“They have been repaired many times and this furniture is over 60 years old. Obviously, we don’t want to do that, however it has come to a point where they are no longer structurally safe as a whole and we have to think about the safety of our patrons first,” they wrote. “Customer safety is our priority, and it should be for our patrons as well.”

The listing itself includes both iconic red seats, a wooden table, a partition wall, and a sign that reads “Reserved for the Sopranos.” The jukebox on the table is not included in the sale.

Co-owner Chris Carley also said in an interview with NJ Advance Media on Thursday that “it’s hard for me to change it,” referring to the cabin that was installed back in 1973.

But now, as tourists continue to flock to the filming location, the filming location is trying to make the new booth that has been installed in its place look as close to the original as possible.

“People will either get used to it or they won’t. But I think they will…hopefully everyone will like it when the new one comes out,” Carley said. “They’ll see that it’s not really that much of a difference.”

The eBay auction closes on Monday at 10 p.m., and buyers will have one last chance to experience the original The Sopranos stand on Sundays or Mondays, according to the point of sale.
