Dipankar De was born on Wednesday, July 5, 1944, in Jamshedpur, Bihar (now Jharkhand), British India (age 79; as of 2023). He grew up in Kolkata and his zodiac sign is Cancer. He was educated at St. Xavier’s School, Calcutta. He received an Honors degree in Economics and an MA from Presidency University, Kolkata.

He made his Bollywood debut with the film Youngistaan (2014).
He made his television debut as ‘Chandrasekhar Deb’ in the Bengali TV show ‘Ganer Oparey’ (2010-2011).
He has acted in popular TV shows like “Jarowar Jhumko” (2016-2017), “Bhojo Gobindo” (2017-2018) and “Kanak Kakon” (2019-present). He made his Hindi television debut with “Janki Nath Chaudhary” in Star Bharat’s “Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki” (2018).
