The Sun exclusively revealed that Phillip is returning to TV in the Channel 5 special Phillip Schofield: Cast Away.

In it, the 62-year-old television presenter is seen lying on a tropical island for 10 days.

In one scene, he appears to see off the moment Holly Willoughby addressed his This Morning appearance live on air.

She began her statement to viewers by saying: “First, are you okay? I hope so.”

At one point in Cast Away, Phillip is seen preparing a barbecue at his family’s London home.

He shares food with his wife, Stephanie, as well as their two daughters, Molly (31) and Ruby (28).

As he does so, he laughs and says, “If you’re okay, then we’re okay, and I’m okay… are you okay?”

However, Holly’s name is never directly mentioned.

Elsewhere in the documentary, Phillip hints at a lack of support from his former actress.

He says in the show: “When you throw someone under the bus, you have to have a very good reason for it.”

He later adds: “I’m sure missing parts of TV. I miss most of it, if I’m honest, I miss most of it.

Phillip Schofield’s return to TV confirmed as he leaves ITV for rival channel

“But there are parts that I really, really, really don’t miss.”

On another occasion, he says: “I’m supposed to be four to one for another jungle program (ITV’s I’m A Celebrity).

“Even though it’s run by my best friends, there are some channels you just won’t work for.

“There are just some people you won’t work for.”

The show also sees him address his affair with a much younger runner.

The presenter openly admits: “It was unwise and unprofessional, I will forever regret it.”

“You know, I screwed up. I made a mistake and I hurt the people around me.”

Cast Away starts on Monday at 9pm on Channel 5
