Dipendra Singh Airee is a Nepalese cricketer who has set several records for Nepal in domestic and international competitions. In September 2023, he made headlines by scoring the fastest T20I fifty. He is considered one of the best middle-order players in Nepal.

Dipendra Singh Airee was born in Gajjar, Mahendra Nagar, Kanchanpur, Nepal. According to one source, he was born on Thursday, August 12, 1999 (age 24; as of 2023), and according to another source, he was born on Monday, January 24, 2000 (age 23; as of 2023). He attended Cosmopolitan English Medium School in Bhimdatta Nagar. Later he studied at Far Western University, Mahendranagar.
He has been interested in cricket since childhood and participated in his first school-level tournament organized by the Private and Boarding Schools Organization of Nepal (PABSON) during his seventh-grade studies. He wanted to be a soldier since he was a child, and his parents did not want him to play cricket; however, when he was studying in grade 11, he received an invitation to the Nepal Premier League, which he accepted but did not take the final exam . Later he started a career in cricket.

Dipendra made his Group A (one-day) cricket debut on 11 March 2018 against Kenya. He made his debut on 6 November 2019 against Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). He represented the Nepal Police Club (NPC) in the Prime Minister’s Cup and Kathmandu Mayor’s Cup in 2022.

He represented the Nepal U-19 team in the 2016 U-19 World Cup. He captained the 2017 Under-19 Asia Cup, where Nepal defeated India in the group stage.

He made his debut in a T20I against Netherlands on 29 July 2018; however, the match was interrupted by rain and he did not get a chance to bat. On April 20, 2021, he scored 60 runs against Netherlands and completed his maiden T20I half-century.
He scored his first T20I hundred on 2 April 2022 with a score of 110 not out against Malaysia. On 4 April 2022, he took 4 wickets and scored 18 runs against Papua New Guinea. On September 27, 2023, in the 19th Asian Games against Mongolia, he broke the record with the fastest T20I 50, scoring 52 runs in 10 balls, completing his 50 in 9 balls points, including 8 sixes; he broke Yuvraj Singh’s record of scoring T20I 50s in 12 balls.

Violation of code of conduct
In November 2019, Deependra Singh Airi was appointed as the vice-captain of the Nepal Cricket Team. In 2021, he along with three other players Gyanendra Malla, Kamal Singh Airee and Sompal Kami expressed their gratitude towards Central Contractual and hierarchical dissatisfaction. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) asked them to provide clarification, which they did; however, CAN was not satisfied with the clarification and sacked Deependra as vice-captain on December 15, 2021, stating that it was not These players will be offered central contracts for the first six months of 2022.
CAN said the players had brought the board into disrepute and breached the code of conduct, saying:
The players have signed a code of conduct with CAN but they are not following it. According to Article 3.3.1 of the Rules, players shall not make any remarks to the media that would bring the game, ACC, ICC, Board of Directors or office bearers into disrepute. ”
