Disney on Ice Skater Thanks Fans for Support After ‘Scary’ Hospitalization: ‘Never Take Life for Granted’

A Disney on Ice skater who was hospitalized after a serious fall during a performance in Minnesota is thanking fans for their support following the life-threatening accident.

On Wednesday, Anastasia Olson, 31, posted a series of photos from her performance as Princess Belle in Disney on Ice Beauty and the Beast as he reflects on the “terrible” injury.

“I have been overwhelmed by everyone’s emotions and love over the past week,” she wrote. “I felt every prayer and it helped me get through this terrible time. I can’t help but feel so blessed. My heart sends you all so much love, and if I’ve learned anything, it’s to never take life for granted 💛”

Olson was injured on Feb. 10 during an 11 a.m. performance at the Target Center in Minneapolis and was rushed to the hospital.

“The skater who played Belle was injured while performing a lift during the pair skating portion and fell. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment,” a spokesperson for Feld Entertainment, the parent company of Disney on Ice, told PEOPLE in a previous statement.

In the comments section of Olson’s post, several parents left messages saying their children were at the show when the accident happened and were wondering how she was doing. Olson retweeted the comment to several, telling them to let the kids know that “Belle is fine and on the mend 🥺❤️”

Just days before, the hospital told PEOPLE that the skater was initially in “serious condition.”
