Divya TS is an Indian shooter who competes in the Olympic skeet shooting event. She is a member of the Indian shooting team for the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.

Divya Thadigol Subbaraju was born on Monday, August 14, 1995 in Bangalore, Karnataka (28 years old; as of 2023). Her zodiac sign is Leo. She studied LLB from Karnataka State University, Hubballi. Divya has dreamed of becoming a professional volleyball player since she was a child and trained for it, but she was unable to realize her dream due to an injury in an accident in 2016. After the accident, Divya’s brother persuaded her to try shooting.

After an accident in 2016, Divya took up shooting sports and trained under Manjunath Patagar. Her shooting career improved in a short period of time. She won multiple medals in the women’s 10m air pistol and 25m sport pistol competitions at the state championships. In 2022, she participated in the 65th National Shooting Championship held at MP Academy Shooting Range, Bhopal and won. Later, Divya finished second in the Indian team trials with a score of 574 points in the 10m air pistol event.

In 2023, after 3 consecutive 5th place finishes, Divya broke her winning streak and joined Sarabjot Singh at the ISSF Shooting World Cup 10 in Baku The rice air pistol mixed team won the gold medal in the final.

In September 2023, Divya won 2 medals in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team event and the women’s 10-meter air pistol team event at the 2022 Asian Games. After the 2022 Asian Games, she said in an interview about her goals,
Next year is a big year. It’s important to work consistently and get there (Paris). I’m working towards qualifying and I’m doing my best to prepare. We have very good coaches here. I am so grateful to everyone who has supported my journey so far. “

Facts/Trivia
- During the initial days of the shoot, Divya faced many financial issues related to training. In a 2022 interview, she said:
My family is currently helping me. I plan to seriously participate in the 25m and 50m events this year, but the equipment, training and competition costs are very high. I use the Rifle Association’s shared weapon because I don’t have one. I recently obtained an All India License which allows me to purchase and import my own weapons and ammunition. “
- On March 19, 2022, Divya TS met with an accident and suffered severe head injuries, requiring 12 stitches. Despite the injury and blurred vision, Divia participated in the first trial of the ISSF World Cup in Rio de Janeiro on March 21, 2022, and the second trial on March 23, 2023. In the final, Divya shot 574 to advance to the team competition.
