Do Revenge is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 12 a.m. PT. On August 9, 2022, Netflix released the official trailer for the film, in which Camila Mendes’ Drea Torres said:
“I have diligently built an ideal existence for 17 years.” I had ideal friends and an ideal partner. But do you want to know where all this takes me? “Completely destructive.”
“Max ruined my life,” she said as she punched her lover. They will never get away with this.” The story takes shape later when Drea tells her friend Eleanor that they should “cooperate and avenge each other.”
Overall, the teaser has an eccentric tone that is sure to appeal to fans of black comedy. The plot looks intriguing and it will be interesting to follow its development. Along with the trailer, Netflix also published a short synopsis of the film, which reads:
“After a secret encounter, Drea (Alpha, the fallen girl played by Camila Mendes) and Eleanor (Beta, the new surrogate played by Maya Hawke) team up to find each other’s tormentors. Do Revenge is a dark comedy twisted in the Hitchcockian style with the scariest protagonists of all: young girls.”

Strangers on a Train, the Alfred Hitchcock painting that partially inspired the film, has a similar story. In the movie, a psychopath presents a terrifying “revenge trade” scheme for another guy. Although the picture received mixed reviews at the time, it is today considered one of Hitchcock’s finest works.

Camila Mendes plays the main character Drea Torres, who intends to take revenge on her lover for humiliating her. Camila looks amazing in the clip, easily portraying the many nuances of her character. The highly successful actress is expected to deliver a fierce performance. Mendes is best known for her role as Veronica Lodge in Riverdale, which she played before Do Revenge. She also appeared in the films Palm Springs, Perfect Date and Dangerous Lies.
