Jen Shah And Her Husband Were On The Verge Of Divorce

The second season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City aired in September 2021, and cast member Jen Shah opened up about her marital problems with her husband Sharrieff Shah. Jen admitted to Lisa Barlow at their new family’s new house that the past six months had been challenging for her.

Jen Shah and her husband were on the verge of divorce.

She claimed that she and her husband, the football coach at the University of Utah, were on the verge of divorce. “Sharieff and I almost got divorced six months ago.” I believed my life was over. Sharrieff believed that he had not been a beneficial influence in my life. “Like he couldn’t help me,” Shah told Barrow. Sharrieff, she continued, undoubtedly felt this way because she was not honest about how she felt, nor was she aware of it.

And the reality star assumed at first that it was just a fight, but she was horrified when her husband’s divorce lawyer called her. When Lisa asked about the source of their troubles, Jen said that she was angry at her husband for leaving because she was grieving the loss of her father. She said the problem was more of a challenge because Sharrieff’s absence was related to the work she wanted him to do. Instead of divorcing, the couple who had been married for 26 years sought counseling.

And, because of the treatment, the couple revealed that they still want to be together. Jen said she was “happier” because she finally let her feelings out and felt at peace. Now she is invited to make amends with her TRHOSLC group of friends.

Jen Shah and her husband are facing fraud charges

The couple has been through a lot, from marital problems to Jen’s federal charges. Jen and her assistant Stuart Smith were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering in March 2021. According to reports, the partners ran a nationwide telemarketing operation that defrauded unsuspecting, usually elderly individuals with promises of financial stability.

Jen pleaded not guilty to the charges in April 2021, and during one of the episodes of the second season, she broke down and informed her husband that she was innocent. “I told you from the beginning that I was innocent. I didn’t do any of that. We’ve been married through thick and thin, and this is the worst right now. “I’m telling you, I didn’t know anything about this and I didn’t do anything,” Jen informed the football coach.

Sharrieff said he believed her and reassured her. He said that his faith in her would not waver and that he would not abandon her. Unfortunately, Jen pleaded guilty to the charges in July 2022, facing up to 14 years in prison and up to $9.5 million in fines. Her sentence is set for November 28, 2022, and her husband has not yet resolved the issue.
