Glenn Anton Rivers, better known as Doc Rivers, was an American basketball coach and former player who had been married to his college girlfriend Kristen Champion since 1986. They met when Rivers was a college freshman in 1979.
They quickly became friends and started dating soon after. However, because race relations were sour at the time, their union was heavily criticized. Despite the harassment and racial abuse they were subjected to, they faced it bravely and got married.

However, in January 2020, the head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers was accused of infidelity. Rivers was having dinner with a mystery brunette at the San Vicente Bungalow in West Hollywood. While they were waiting for the valet, the woman rested her head on his shoulder, and he lovingly wrapped his arm around her waist.
Rivers and Campion have not responded to the reports, but it has been reported that the two have been living apart for the past five years and are currently divorcing.

Rivers and Campion have four children, Jeremiah, Austin, Spencer and Callie, who are athletes like their father. Jeremiah, their oldest son, played college basketball at Georgetown and Indiana University before joining the NBA D-Maine League Red Claws.
Austin, their second son, was a member of the Los Angeles Clippers from 2015 to 2018. Rivers became the first father-son NBA coach, and while fans expected the two to have a special relationship, Austin painted a different picture.
He admitted that his father did not share his life with him outside of basketball and that the two only knew each other through basketball. After starting his career with the Los Angeles Clippers, Austin was traded to the Washington Wizards and Houston Rockets. He is currently a member of the Denver Nuggets. Meanwhile, Rivera’s third son, Spencer, attended Winter Park High School and UC Irvine.

Rivers’ only daughter, Callie, is a volleyball player who attended the University of Florida and played professionally overseas after graduation. It also brought together two of the NBA’s most famous and successful families.
She married into another famous basketball family on September 14, 2019 when she married Dell Curry’s son and Stephen Curry’s younger brother, Seth Curry. Seth is an NBA player currently playing for the Philadelphia 76ers, coached by his father-in-law.
Austin told Undefeated that he was initially skeptical when he found out his sister was dating an NBA player. But when he discovered it was Seth Curry, he was overjoyed. Rivers is currently juggling the role of coach and grandfather.
