Los Angeles Dodgers Bobby Miller Bacter hit the head of a fast ball during spring training against Chicago Cubs on Thursday, February 20th.
Miller, 25, was hit in the head when the first Cubs -based Michael Busch base hit a speed of 105.5 mph during the third inning.
Miller hit the temple, inhaling his hat off his head. He immediately squeezed his head as he collapsed to the ground. Although his head was injured and had a huge red brand, he slowly came down from the ground before the medical staff arrived on the field.
Miller could get off the field himself and got out of the game, the first from spring training 2025.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said after the match that the team is not sure how much Miller will be out.
“It was good to see him going from the field. I don’t think we’re getting any X-rays right now,” Roberts told reporters, according to Dodgers Nation. “When I was on the embankment, he did not express any pain. I think it will somehow be too gross, lie low.”
“It was certainly a very scary moment. According to what I gathered, he would be under the earthquake protocol,” Roberts said, adding: “I don’t know what it means as far as it is concerned.

“When the coach came out and asked him if he knew where he was, he was a little kidding about the hung of the curvature,” Dodgers’ third base Max Muny said, according to Dodgers Nation.

Miller tries to return after a disappointing season of 2024. He missed time due to his shoulder injury, and only 13 starts are in majorettes. He finished with 8.52 era and 2-4 records.
“At the end of the day, I was physically able to perform, so there is no excuse that I can do it,” Miller said Athletic earlier this week. “Just a bad execution on my part is what actually comes down to and I don’t have the usual mix and command I had a year before.”
“I don’t live in the past,” said the new Miller teammate, a double winner of the Cy Young Blake Snell Award, said Athletic. “Neither should he. Last year you learn from and then focus on what he does. He will learn. He is so amazing talent. I don’t ask him what he did last year because I don’t care. I think what he’ll do is much More importantly from what happened.
