Dog ‘Too Sophisticated’ for Bowls Demands to Eat Each Meal from a Silver Spoon — Watch!

Food is tastier to Blue the dog when it is slowly fed on spoons.

One of the pet dog’s owners, Victoria Elizabeth Moore, shared a video of the pet’s meal ritual via Storyful. In the video, Victoria’s sister, Alexandra, holds a large bowl full of food in front of the dog, who is lying on a dog bed. Blue makes no move to eat the food until Alexandra starts scooping it up with a spoon and feeding it to the pet.

“My sister feeds our dog with a silver spoon every day. The other pets eat out of their bowls, but Blue is too sophisticated for that kind of thing,” Victoria told Storyful about the picky 7-year-old dog.

The video of Blue’s fine dining continues with the dog spooning up his food, licking his lips between each bite.

Alexandra told Storyful that Blue’s unusual eating habits came about by accident.

“Once I tried feeding him with a spoon and he liked it better. Now he won’t eat from a bowl without a spoon anymore,” she said.

Blue is not the only dog who takes special care of how he eats. Zoey, a 14-year-old Goldendoodle and a picky eater, prefers to chew on foods that are “spicy.”

The dog’s owner posted on TikTok how she spices Zoey’s food. Instead of adding extra seasoning to the dog’s food, Zoey’s owner, Michelle Metrailler, seasons the food by waving a sealed bottle of ranch salad dressing in front of the pup.

Learning that Zoey enjoys invisible salad dressing in her meals helped the dog’s owner, Michelle Metrailler, convince the goldendoodle to eat her prescription dog food.

“Zoey takes prescription food for her sensitive stomach, so she usually needs wet food on top,” Metrailler, who lives in Toronto, told PEOPLE about the dog.

“We ran out of her tinned food so we were trying to trick her into eating her snacks without adding anything that might cause her tummy problems,” she added.
