A new deluxe version of her rock inspired album rock star, with special new songs, follows the initial release of the record last November.

Back in May 2023, Parton announced its release and then revealed that the 30-song record would include 20 iconic covers and nine original songs.

“I am so excited to finally present my first rock and roll album Rockstar! It is a great honor and privilege to work with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time and to be able to sing all the iconic songs during the album was a joy beyond measure” , she said in a press release at the time.

Meanwhile, it seems the royals aren’t immune to Parton’s charms either, as the singer recently revealed that, due to scheduling conflicts, she was forced to turn down an invitation to afternoon tea from none other than Kate Middleton.

In an interview with a UK outlet Saga earlier this month, the star said of his meeting with the Princess of Wales, “I was honored and flattered that she even invited me.”

However, she went on to say that the heavy workload meant she was forced to decline.

“I only had one whole day and I didn’t have a second to do anything other than work,” she said.

The “Jolene” singer told the magazine at the time that she would jump at the chance to have tea with Kate if the royal family ever made another offer in the future. Parton even has an idea of what they would talk about: the passion they both share for helping children.

The country legend and the Princess of Wales have launched several very successful initiatives for underprivileged children. Parton added that she is a huge fan of the British royal family – who recently underwent abdominal surgery. “I think she’s adorable and I hope one day I can sit down and have a good chat with her,” she said.

And it wasn’t Parton’s first encounter with the British royal family, as she met Queen Elizabeth during her silver jubilee in 1977. The singer recalled being “scared to death” about “messing up the bow” but recalled how she was “very warm, very sweet ” and “very generous” was the late queen.

“Just meeting the Queen of England, just meeting the Queen, was amazing,” Parton told Insider of the backstage encounter after her performance at the Royal Variety Show in Glasgow, Scotland.
