Northern Exposure Star Diane Delano Dies at 67

Diane Delano, best known for her role in Northern lightsdied. She was 67 years old.

Her agent, Dennis Sevier, confirmed to PEOPLE that Delano died at her home in Los Angeles on Friday, Dec. 13 after a brief illness. Her official cause of death has not yet been released.

“When Diane walked into any room, you knew she was there! She was full of life and loved being an actress. We will miss her,” Sevier shared of the late actress in a statement.

Delano rose to fame playing Officer Barbara Semanski Northern exposurewhich ran for six seasons from 1990 to 1995 on CBS.

It also includes other notable film and television roles Wicker man, Popular, Days of our lives, St. Elsewhere, LA law and Perfect strangers.

She also lent her voice to animated shows like Teen Titans and Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

The actress won the Indie Series Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the made-for-TV movie, Messing with pieces. She was also awarded the Best Ensemble Award for her work in Sweetness at the 2019 Los Angeles Film Awards.

Delano’s last role was in the musical comedy Bluegrass Paradise: the city of sinners and saints, which was published in May.
