Dolly Parton Reacts to Keanu Reeves Wearing Her Playboy Bunny Costume His Mom Designed: ‘The Sweetest Guy’

Dolly Parton and Keanu Reeves have a surprising relationship!

Some of the singer-songwriter’s most famous looks, including her 1978 Playboy title outfit, designed by Reeves’ mother, costume designer Patricia Taylor — and Parton says the much younger Reeves often hung around while his mom worked.

“She did a lot of sewing for me, she made a lot of my clothes,” Parton, 77, said. The Drew Barrymore Show on Monday.

“But I remember Keanu when he was little,” she continued. “And she would bring him over to my house when we were getting ready or when I would go to the store where she worked.”

The “9 to 5” singer also recalled her reunion with Matrix star years later.

Parton told host Drew Barrymore she was “doing a show somewhere” and Reeves – who was “already famous at the time” – knocked on her door.

“He said, ‘Do you remember me? I am the little boy who sat at your feet when my mom was [working]”, she recalled. “Of course I knew he had become a star, but it didn’t connect with me that that’s who it was.”

Barrymore, 48, also told the singer that Reeves was wearing Playboy Rabbit costume — a tidbit discovered by Jade Pinkett Smith Talk about the red table Two years ago.

“Did he? Aw, that’s sweet,” Parton said. “He’s great. He’s the sweetest guy.”

In 2021, Reeves reflected on the moment while speaking on the Pinkett Smith talk show after a fan asked him about his favorite Halloween costumes growing up.

The John Wick star said that “somehow” Parton didn’t take the cover home, “and so we had it, and it was Halloween.”

“So I put on the ears and the bust. I wore sneakers with fishnet socks and a bow tie. I had pretty long hair,” he continued. “And I belonged to Dolly Parton Playboy Bunny.”

During it The Drew Barrymore Show look, Parton also discussed her recent recreation of her ’70s look.

In 2021, the “Jolene” singer celebrated her husband Carl Thomas Dean’s birthday by dressing in Playboy The bunny stood up and documented the moment with a video shared on her social media accounts.

“You’re probably wondering why I’m dressed like this,” she began the clip. “Well, it’s for my husband’s birthday. You remember a while ago I said I was going to pose for the Playboy magazine when I’m 75?
