Howard Stern almost had a hand in it A star is bornaccording to director Bradley Cooper.

“Have we ever talked about how I asked you A star is born?” Cooper asked his longtime friend in the episode The Howard Stern Show published on Monday.

“I never told anybody because I felt bad for the guy who got the part,” Stern said, referring to Sam Elliott, who the host also called “fantastic.”

Stern continued, “I said, ‘I’m going to go all in.’ I’m going to shave my head, I’m going to change my whole look.’ I was really toying with that idea.”
