Donald Trump can’t seem to shake his feelings for Taylor Swift.
On Sunday, September 15, the Republican presidential candidate, 78, shared a post on his social media platform Truth Social, where he reacted to Swift’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.
“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” Trump wrote in the post.

Swift, 34, officially endorsed Harris, 59, in the presidential race on Instagram on Tuesday, September 10. The move was made shortly after Harris and Trump finished their first debate.
“Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight,” the singer began the title of her post, which also includes a photo of her holding a cat. “If you haven’t already, now is a great time to research the issues and the positions these candidates take on the issues that matter most to you. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.”
Without commenting on Trump’s politics, Swift went on to write: “I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election. I am voting for @kamalaharris because she is fighting for rights and causes that I believe need a warrior to defend.”
She then called Harris a “calm, gifted leader” and added, “I believe we can achieve a lot more in this country if we are led by peace, not chaos.” She also praised Harris’ vice chairman, Tim Walz, for “decades of advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF and women’s rights to their own bodies.”
Swift continued, “I’ve done my research and made my choice. It’s your research and your choice. I also want to say, especially to first-time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also think a lot it’s easier to vote early. I’ll link where you can register and find early voting dates and information.”
The pop star ended her statement by signing off as “Cat Lady with no kids,” a reference to unfavorable comments made by Trump’s 2021 opponent JD Vance.

Trump responded to Swift’s support the next day during an interview with Fox & Friends.
“I wasn’t a fan of Taylor Swift,” he said on the show. “It was just a matter of time… But she’s a very liberal person. She always seems to support a Democrat. And she’s probably going to pay a price for that in the market.”

A few days later, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) put up a series of witty campaign billboards in New York and Las Vegas with the phrase “We’re in our Kamala Era” — a reference to Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour.
Billboard uses Swift’s hit song “… Ready for It” from her 2017 album. Reputation album, with the phrase “A new way forward… ready for it?” added.
Trump, meanwhile, has continued to use Swift’s likeness for his campaign, as his team recently shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) that read “Calling all Swifties for Trump,” along with a photo and a link to buy a Trump Era T-shirt.
