Donna Kelce Wears Eagles and Chiefs Bracelets That Were Her Mom’s: ‘I Feel Like She’s with Me’ (Exclusive)

Soccer is a family affair for Donna Kelce and her offspring.

While promoting her partnership with Barefoot Wine, Donna, 71, talks exclusively to PEOPLE about how she supports both of her NFL sons — Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs and Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles — by wearing bracelets representing their teams, which previously belonged to her to the mother.

Noting that he’ll “support” both of his sons “no matter what,” he says, “If they’re playing on the same day, I’ve got two bracelets. One’s an Eagles bracelet, one’s a Chiefs bracelet, and I wear them both.”

“They are my mom’s. She passed away a couple of years ago, so it’s special for me to wear them and to be at her games, because I feel like she’s with me,” adds Donna.

For Donna, figuring out how to watch her sons play football, she says, can sometimes be a sport unto itself.

“It’s a little difficult,” she explains, explaining that she starts planning her game schedule months before the start of each season so she can try to attend every one of her sons’ games. “I look at April and see what their schedule is, and decide what I’m going to do.”

“If there are any games out of the country, I definitely want to try to go to them,” Donna continues. “And if they happen to be at home on the same day, then I just have to flip a coin and try to get to eight games every year.”

The proud mum – who is also a grandmother to Jason’s three children – adds: “So that’s how I deal with it.”

Donna also tells PEOPLE that her own increased notoriety amid son Travis’ new romance with Taylor Swift is something she’s still getting used to.

“It was a ride. That’s for sure,” she says. “It’s a little different. Sometimes I feel like I’m on another planet. I ask myself: ‘What has my life turned into?’ ”

“It’s kind of fun, though,” Donna continues. “It is. It’s fun to be recognized. Almost everyone is respectful and very positive.”

“The good thing is that my boys are doing great things on the pitch, so they’re pretty happy about that,” she adds.
