Doubling Down with the Derricos' Deon and Karen Say They're 'Unified' in Parenting After Divorce (Exclusive)

Duplication with the Derricos‘ Deon and Karen Derrico are “united” in parenting their 14 children after their divorce.

“Together, we remain united in parenting our 14 beautiful children — their well-being is our priority,” the couple told PEOPLE in an exclusive statement.

“We thank everyone for their understanding and support as we move forward for the sake of our family,” they continued.

Deon and Karen — who married in 2005 — are parents to 13-year-old Derrick, 12-year-old twins Dallas and Denver, 10-year-old quintuplets Deonee, Daician, Daiten, Denik and Dariz, 6-year-old Diez and Dior, and 4- annual triplets Dawsyn, De’Aren and Dyver. (Elder daughter Darian is 18 years old.)

Duplication with the Derricos‘ Deon and Karen Derrico are divorced, sharing custody of 13 minor children

Deon and Karen chronicle the challenges of parenting 14 children on their TLC series, which premiered in 2020.

The couple filed for divorce on June 4, and it became official two days later, on June 6, when a judge signed off on the divorce, according to TMZ.

Deon and Karen now share legal and physical custody of their 13 minor children, according to legal documents obtained by the business paper. Deon will pay $1,166 a month in child support, and Karen will be responsible for paying for the children’s health insurance, TMZ reported.

Karen also plans to keep the last name Derrico because she didn’t ask to return her maiden name, which the judge granted in the settlement.

In this season of the TLC series, “The Derricos’ search for a new home is a perpetual process and puts a strain on Deon and Karen’s marriage,” according to the official description.
