Sean 'Diddy' Combs Removes All Instagram Posts, Including Cassie Apology Video, amid Legal Drama

Sean “Diddy” Combs is starting over on social media.

The music mogul, 54, deleted all posts from his Instagram account, including a video apology to ex Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura after a 2016 video was leaked showing her being physically abused by the rapper.

In the post, Combs admitted he was “appalled” by his actions, saying, “It’s so hard to think about the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you have to.”

“I was so—– awake. I mean, I hit rock bottom. But I’m not making excuses. My behavior in that video is inexcusable,” he continued. “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I am appalled. I was disgusted when I did it, and I am disgusted now.”

A representative for Combs did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Last year, Ventura made allegations against Combs in a now-settled lawsuit, claiming the musician raped and sold her for sex during 10 years of abuse. (Combs previously denied the allegations, with his attorney calling them “offensive and outrageous.”)

Ventura later spoke out for the first time since the 2016 video was released in May. In a statement published on her Instagram, the singer expressed gratitude “for all the love and support of my family, friends, strangers and those I have yet to meet.”

Explaining that “the outpouring of love has created a place where my younger self can now settle down and feel safe,” Ventura continued, “But this is just the beginning. Domestic violence is a STRONGER problem. It broke me into someone I never thought I would become . With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always recover from the past.”

“This healing journey never ends, but this support means everything to me. Thank you,” she added, before acknowledging the backlash she received after filing the lawsuit.

“My only request is that EVERYONE open their hearts to the victims who believe for the first time,” Ventura wrote. “It takes a lot of heart to tell the truth from a situation where you were powerless.”

“I offer a hand to those who still live in fear,” she concluded, addressing other victims of domestic abuse. “Reach out to your people, don’t cut them off. No one should have to carry this weight alone.”

Combs’ move to delete all posts from his Instagram account comes shortly after he recently returned the key to New York and was stripped of his honorary degree from Howard University.

The star — who currently faces multiple ongoing sexual assault lawsuits — also recently sold his majority stake in Revolt, the music-focused television network he founded with Andy Schuon in 2013.
