Downcast Chloe Madeley seen for first time after confirming James Haskell marriage split - as she ditches ring for good

CHLOE Madeley has been pictured for the first time since it was revealed her marriage was over after five years.

The Sun told how the 36-year-old and James Haskell, 38, secretly spat in September, just 13 months after the birth of their daughter Bodhi.

Chloe, who has been ring-less in recent weeks, was seen with a hood down over her hair.

The mother of one clutched a drink in her hand and looked like she was about to exercise.

Her appearance comes after the couple released a joint statement, with Chloe saying: “James and I have mutually decided to separate at the end of September 2023.

“We had not planned to release a statement at this time – certainly not while the television show was airing – but the constant speculation about our marriage unfortunately forced us to.

“Other than this statement, we will not be speaking publicly about this matter and would request privacy at this time.

“Our only focus now is our beautiful daughter. We will continue to co-parent only with love.”

James later shared the post online and added: “I write this post with a lot of sadness but unfortunately in the world we live in it has to be done.

“My priority is the happiness and safety of my daughter and Chloe. For this reason, I will not comment further.”

The Sun revealed that Chloe and James, who met on Instagram, took off their wedding rings six weeks ago – contrary to reports they had a falling out after James, 38, was seen talking to a woman outside London’s Chiltern Firehouse.

Pictures have emerged of the former Wasps star speaking to PR boss Maxine Bridge at 1.30am.

But friends of the couple insist that this is not the cause of their split.

A source said: “Chloe and James have struggled for a long time to make their marriage work.

“Having a young child and James being away so often would take its toll on anyone. But some of James’ behavior has been disturbing, and he knows it.

“The couple have made the incredibly difficult decision to step down so they can focus on their daughter and being the best parents they can be. “Things are completely civil between them and they will remain friends. Bodhi comes first.”

The news of their split followed weeks of frantic speculation that the couple were in trouble, with fans spotting a number of signs that it was over.
