Hilary Duff Marks 5th Wedding Anniversary with ‘Best Friend’ Matthew Koma in Cute Family Photos: 'Forever to Go'

Hilary Duff celebrates “5 years later” with her husband Matthew Koma!

The singer and actress, 37, shared a handful of new memories on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, December 21, as she marked her fifth wedding anniversary with the musician and producer, also 37.

To mark the half-decade milestone, Duff first posted a picture of Kome standing on a balcony overlooking a snowy mountain while holding one of their four children, during the couple’s current ski vacation. The couple have daughters Banks Violet, 6, Mae James, 3, and Townes, 7 months – and Duff is also mum to son Luca Cruz, 12, who she shares with ex Mike Comrie.

“Five years later,” Duff captioned the shot. “To leave forever❤️.”

For the rest of her anniversary card, Duff also shared snaps of Koma spending some time with their kids at a climbing gym and posing outside with Duff and their youngest while on a snowy family ski vacation.

“You are my best friend,” she wrote over one picture of Kom, before calling him “the best dad” in another.

Duff and Koma, who met in 2013 while working on Duff’s Take a breath. Exhale. album, they got married in 2019.

In his anniversary post, with some throwback black-and-white photos from the wedding, Duff called Koma his “dream girl” and “best friend.”

“As I lay next to you in bed, completely exhausted after our third straight 14-hour day of taking our 4 kids skiing — I feel like the luckiest. You chose me to do the impossible with him. And as we sail through a truly IN IT year, I think the most exciting thing is to know from the other side of this, to understand each other,” Koma wrote about his wife.

“You’re my favorite person to do absolutely anything and everything with. And I know this might sound overwhelming given my inability to tolerate most people, but you light up this laugh in a way that makes me want to totally surrender and get closer to the sun # LiveLaughLove than I ever thought possible,” he continued.

Koma then thanked Duff for “knowing me better than I know me” and for “removing” him from “so many traps I would have fallen into without your North.”

“Thank you for fulfilling these first 5 years with every filling on the menu. I know we are still at the starting line, but I have full faith that you will take us all the way home,” he added. “And if not, I’m going to have one hell of a climax reliving it in my one-bedroom apartment in the deep San Fernando Valley that I share with a guy named Sid who burns incense and has a pet axolotl. You’re mine forever Luigi and I love you .”

Duff commented below her husband’s post: “As long as you think of the real Luigi I’m here forever my baby. My big baby. Better be a big Diet Coke for lunch because we’re going for the gold today. Good luck 5 my lover (can this comment be my dedication?).”

As for the couple’s holiday plans, Duff revealed to PEOPLE this month that while she hasn’t yet shared her 2002 Christmas album. Santa Claus Streetwith her four children, things can change.

“You know what, I have to,” Duff said.

“Maybe this is the year,” she added. “Luca won’t have any of it, but Banks would definitely love it. I usually play classic holiday songs in the car—not that it’s not a classic.”
