Although anyone can develop a brain aneurysm, the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke shows that between the ages of 30 and 60, women are more likely than men to get one. According to a June 2021 interview with the Los Angeles Times, untreated hypertension, which Dr. Dre believes may have been the cause of his aneurysm, is said to pose an increased risk for certain people with underlying health conditions.
Is Dr. Dre sick? His battle with a brain aneurysm
On January 5, 2021, it was revealed that Dr. Dre was ill with a brain aneurysm. He was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California the day before. He was being checked in the intensive care unit to see what caused the brain bleed. A day after being rushed to the hospital, Dre took to Instagram to reassure his fans that he was fine.
Dre reportedly required an emergency evacuation to the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles in January 2021, according to the music producer. According to reports, Dre said that since the event took place around the beginning of the outbreak, he was not authorized to invite visitors. Dre said that for two weeks they had to wake him up every hour on the hour to do sobriety tests.

Dr. Dre seemed to recover quickly from the scare. He first spoke about his health in June 2021, telling the Los Angeles Times that he was “feeling great” barely five months after being taken to the hospital. He also used dialogue to urge people to take care of their health and visit their doctor regularly. Dre admits he had strange feelings about his high blood pressure while in intensive care.
He said that his health always came first. However, there is a link between blacks and high blood pressure that he was unaware of. He, however, stated that he was taking care of himself. Dre posted an update on his health on Instagram right after he was rushed to the hospital, saying he was fine.
