Murray Head Was Rushed To Hospital After His Car Was Struck By The Truck

Murray Head, a British singer and actor, was recently injured when his car collided with a lorry in France. On Monday, he was traveling near the town of Pau in the South Pyrenees region when the incident occurred. Head, 76, was involved in the crash after he lost control and collided with a truck. In an interview with the local press, he said,

“I was very lucky. I was traveling north-south when I realized I was going in the wrong direction. Was the sun blinding me? I’m not sure. I didn’t drink anything.”

Head escaped with minor injuries and returned home safely. He was conscious during the rescue and the truck driver was unharmed. Access to the road was restricted and diverted while officers removed damaged cars. Murray Head officials have not released a statement about the incident. He was on his way to radio France Bleu Bearn Bigorre to give an interview about the Queen’s death when tragedy struck.

Murray Head, born March 5, 1946, is best known for his roles in various films, most notably as Bob Elkin in the 1971 Academy Award-nominated television series Sunday Bloody Sunday. He is also known for his singles Superstar and One Night in Bangkok, which topped the world charts. Laurence Murray, Murray’s father, is a documentary filmmaker and Helen Murray, Murray’s mother, is an actress. Anthony, his brother, is also an actor. He attended Lycee Francais Charles de Gaulle in South Kensington and Hampton School in Hampton, London. In the early 1960s, he entered Chiswick Polytechnic. In the mid-1960s, Head received a contract to record and host the pop music show Now! with Michael Palin, he was in the rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar as well as in the musical Hair. In 1971, he released the song Superstar, which peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Career

Murray Head made his cinematic debut with The Family Way in 1966. In 1971, Sunday Bloody Sunday followed. However, he remained relatively unknown until 1975, when he released Say It Ain’t So, Joe. In 1973, he appeared in the radio series The Fourth Tower of Inverness, followed by the miniseries Prince Regent and ITV’s Return of the Saint in 1979.
