In a 2018 podcast, when asked how he makes videos and where he gets the idea to make such videos, he said that he gets up early in the morning and does research on topics he plans to cover in YouTube videos. Forcing employees to convert to Scientology
In 2017, Brenda Valentine, an employee of Eric Berg, complained to him, claiming that she was fired by Eric Berg for refusing to convert to Scientology. She also claims that Eric Berg forced her to take Scientology classes in Washington, DC. She also stated that Eric Berg often read to her sentences and phrases from several Scientology books, even though she disagreed with them.

In May 2021, Eric Berg’s son Ian Rafalco posted a video on TikTok and Twitter, claiming that he was forced to believe in Scientology by his family. He also said that when he publicly renounced Scientology, his father came to his home and knocked aggressively on his door. However, when a neighbor threatened to call the police, Eric had to leave. Ian also uploaded a controversial video on Twitter and talked about Dr. Eric following Scientology. In the video, he claimed his father was selfish and lacked empathy for humans. According to Ian, a portion of the profits Eric makes from selling his products goes to the Church of Scientology. Talking about this, he said,
So when I made this video and made it public, my life was over. Well… my life has been over for a while, so. I figured I could at least go out with a bang. Some of you may know this guy, Eric. He has thousands of videos on YouTube. He’s pretty popular at this point. He gave a lot of health advice. As you can see, he’s a chiropractor, so…not only is this guy a Scientologist, but he’s donated a lot of money. His profit margins are insane and through the roof. So he probably donated about seven million dollars to Scientology? Every time you buy one of his products, you also donate to Scientology because he has a separate savings account for that. He is an extremely selfish man who lacks empathy. I know this because he is my father. “
Eric responded to Ian’s accusations by writing an email to Twitter, urging them to remove his video.
