Wedding bells will be ringing soon General Hospital star Steve Burton!
On Saturday, January 4, the 54-year-old actor announced on Instagram that he is engaged after popping the question to his girlfriend Michelle Lundstrom, a chef and content creator who competed on the second season of the Netflix series Grill showdown.
He shared a carousel of photos showing the moment he got down on one knee during the proposal, which took place on Friday, January 3.
“Engaged 1/3/25. ❤️💍♾️,” he wrote in the title of the post, which was accompanied by the song “Glory of Love” by Peter Cetera.

Burton also quoted the Bible verse, Jeremiah 29:11: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans to help you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ ”
The couple have kept their relationship pretty private, but Burton first confirmed the news that he was dating Lundstrom, 43, to Daily Drama in May 2024. At the time, the outlet shared a photo of the pair holding hands while out for a walk, along with another with a video of the two of them posing with the panorama of the city in the distance.
A month later, Burton brought Lundstrom as a companion to the Daytime Emmy Awards.
“Our first red carpet together,” Lundstrom captioned an Instagram post with a photo of the pair posing together at the event. “It was one night’s dream from start to finish. Thank you for all the lovely kind comments and messages. I am truly grateful ❤️🙏🏼.”
Burton also shared a video from their glamorous evening at the awards on Instagram.
In an Instagram post dated June 28, 2024, Lundstrom shared photos of the pair at Disneyland and gushed about their relationship while celebrating Burton’s birthday.

She continued: “Thank you for carrying the biggest purse in Disney and sharing your beautiful life with mine. We wish you a million more special memories and smiles, you deserve it all! ❤️ #blessedbirthday #love.”
At the start of 2025, just a day before Burton popped the question, Lundstrom took a moment to reflect on the past year with her then-boyfriend.
“Some years you just want to rewind and forget,” she wrote in a Jan. 2 Instagram post. “I’ve had a few for sure. Then one day you will live life differently…accepting big changes, feeling content and full of LOVE. I hope that I will remember the memories from this past year forever and for that I am grateful.”
