Dr. Rajith Kumar was born in 1969 (50 years old in 2020) in the village of Kizhuvilam in Attingal, Kerala. He completed his schooling from Government Model Boys High School, Attingal, Kerala. Later, he joined Mar Ivanios College in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala to complete his bachelor’s degree. in botany. He subsequently completed his postgraduate studies from NSS College, Pandalam, Kerala. He holds a Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) in Cytogenetics and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Science Education (B.Ed), a Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science (BLIS), a Master’s Degree (MS) in Psychotherapy, and a Diploma in Vedanta.

Dr. Rajesh Kumar is a controversial speaker. He is always in the news for making derogatory remarks about women. In 2013, while talking to college students, he said,
Good children are born of men and women who live as men and women. But when a woman devalues her femininity and a man devalues his masculinity, the girl born to the couple will take on the character of the man. Her eventual child will be transgender. “
Upon hearing this comment, one of the girls present walked out in disgust. He later repeated the same statement in an interview with a news channel. The Kerala government condemned his public sexist remarks.
