Drake is all about “taking care” of his fans.
The Grammy winner took a moment during his last concert to make a life-changing promise to a concertgoer. During a performance at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday night, Drake paused to interact with the crowd and promise to pay off the mortgage of a fan’s late mother.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the 37-year-old musician was handed a message by a person from the front row of his concert. After opening it, Drake asked, “That’s it?”
“You said, ‘[Pay] away from mom’s house, rest in peace.’ Your mom died? okay And you owe… Oh, this is an outstanding amount here,” he said into his microphone while talking to a fan. “This is a lot of money here.”
“But you know what, I’m going to pay off your mom’s house for you,” Drake promised as the crowd cheered.

He later revealed to the audience that a fan had begged him to donate “160 bands” — or $160,000 — to the cause, but the multi-millionaire had already made good on his promise.
“I’ll pay out of my own pocket. It’ll come from me. Rest in peace with your mom,” Drake said before turning the bill over and seeing the woman’s name.
“Wait, wait. Rest in peace Jennifer Schumer. Rest in peace. I love you.”
Drake wins $2.3 million after betting on Chiefs to win Super Bowl, says he’ll give it to fan at concert Monday
Drake’s mortgage pledge comes just days after the “Started from the Bottom” rapper promised to gift a fan in Buffalo $25,000 after she brought in a sign detailing her cancer journey, according to WIVB.
He also pledged to donate $100,000 to another fan earlier this month after they too brought a sign mentioning it they beat cancer. “This is a real trooper,” Drake said. “You’d better make a little mom—- noise.”

In addition to giving money on tour, Drake has also offered fans a closer look at his family in recent weeks. On Wednesday, he shared a sweet moment on Instagram involving his mother, Sandi Graham — when he uploaded a picture of her seemingly on one of his ongoing It’s All a Blur Tour: Big as the What? shows with J. Cole.
In the picture, 64-year-old Graham could be seen smiling for the camera in the crowd. A closer look at the photo – which was zoomed in by Drake himself – showed a message she had written on her phone: “I always cry when I come to his concerts… so proud of him.”
“I’m posting this as a forever keynote,” Drake captioned the post.
Drake and Cole’s tour kicked off on February 2nd in Tampa, Florida, and ends in April in Denver.
