Drew Barrymore Says 50 First Dates Was Originally a 'Drama Set in Seattle' — with a Different Ending (and Title!)

50 first dates could look a lot different.

As Drew Barrymore revealed earlier this week on her daytime talk show of the same name, her 2004 romantic comedy starring Adam Sandler didn’t just have an original title 50 first kissesbut it was also a “drama set in Seattle.”

But as fans know, the movie that was eventually realized was set in Hawaii and starred Barrymore, 49, as Lucy, a woman with permanent short-term memory loss who falls in love with a marine vet named Henry (Sandler, 57). and vice versa.
