If you give Dua Lipa too much to drink, she’ll disappear like Houdini—though she might fall asleep sooner.
During an interview on Tuesday’s episode Late Night with Seth Meyersthe “Dance the Night” singer revealed she ended up sleeping on the bar’s bathroom floor after a day of drinking with the talk show host in a hilarious segment last month.
Recalling his experience on set, Meyers explained that his production team offers celebrities participating in daily drinking segments to switch from glasses of alcohol to water halfway through filming. Lipa still wanted to stay with the drink.

“It’s not something I like to brag about, but I think I’m a good drinker,” said the 28-year-old Grammy winner. – I was simply not ready for what was waiting for me.
Lipa said the pair drank several shots of “gin, vodka, rum, tequila” during the 45-minute shoot, after which she needed a break: “I was smoking cigarettes at the time — I quit, I quit, guys — but I said : ‘Okay, I’m just going to get a cigarette. That’ll fix me.'”
After returning from the break, she began to feel dizzy. “I thought, ‘I’m just going to jump to the bathroom. I’m sure I’m going to be completely fine,'” Lipa said. “And I fall asleep right there.”

Meyers, 50, said the bar’s bathroom didn’t look like a good place to sleep, but Lipa didn’t care at the time: “It wasn’t a luxurious bedroom, but for some reason everything was comfortable. I was very comfortable.”
Only later in the day did Lipa collect her memories and understand what exactly happened.

“The only thing I remember after that moment is the fact that I woke up in my bed,” she explained. “I just have this vision of my assistant – she saved my life – but all I heard was her telling my insurance, ‘John, get a wheelchair!’ I was a complete rag doll. I don’t remember anything. It was unbelievable, and I woke up two hours later. I was like, ‘What happened?'”
Lipa and Meyers then had a FaceTime call to catch up on the experience — and SNL the alum was also already in bed.
At the end of the day, the drinking part, which was broadcast Late night last month, Lipa stated that she “can barely see straight”. Then a message appeared on the screen explaining that Meyers was told that Lipa needed more time to get ready before finally disappearing.
He recalled the sudden departure of the “New Rules” performer in a conversation on Tuesday Late night episode.
“People kept coming up and saying, ‘Dua only needs five more minutes.’ I said, ‘Great.’ And then someone said, ‘She just needs 10 more minutes,'” Meyers said. “I said, ‘You bet. Dua will be great! And then they said, ‘Hey, uh, she’s gone.’ And I’m like, ‘What!?'”
