Duck Dynasty Gets Revival at A&E Nearly 8 Years After Original Show: 'Like Going Back Home'

Duck Dynasty is back!

On Wednesday, January 22, A&E confirmed that the beloved reality series will return to the network as Duck Dynasty: The Revival.

Original Duck Dynasty ran for 11 seasons from 2012 to 2017 and followed the lives of the Robertson family, including Phil and Kay Robertson along with their three sons—Jase, Willie, and Jep—several grandchildren and several of their employees as they worked together in their family business, Duck Commander .

At the show’s peak in 2013, 11.8 million viewers tuned in for the season four premiere, making it the most-watched non-fiction series on television in history, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Duck Dynasty: The Revival will focus on Willie and his wife Korie, Miss Kay, Uncle Sia and other fan-favorite family members from the original hit series, including John Luke, Sadie, Will, Bella and Rebecca and their growing families.

“With their dynasty extending beyond the ducks themselves, Willie and Korie will bring their signature humor and family fun as they struggle to map the future of Duck Commander, watching the kids manage marriage, children and their own businesses and pass on the family legacy.” it is in the logline of the new series.

A&E has ordered 20 one-hour episodes, or two seasons, and the premiere of the new series is expected in the summer of 2025.

Of Duck Dynasty Packaged, the Robertson family only grew with younger cast members starting families of their own. Fans were able to keep up with the Robertson family through subsequent spinoffs of the series such as I’m going to Si-Ral, Jep & Jessica: The Rise of a Dynasty, At home with the Robertsons and Duck Family Treasure.

News of the series reboot comes after the family revealed that Robertson patriarch Phil has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
