Duff Goldman Reveals the Request from 4-Year-Old Daughter Josephine That Made Him ‘So Proud’ (Exclusive)

The daughter of Duff Goldman Josephine is only 4 years old, but he already has great ideas when it comes to design.

The famous chef of the pastry chef, 50, shared a sweet family anecdote as he spoke with people during the Wine and Food Festival South Beach 2025.

Goldman says he and his wife Johnna Colbry just woke up in the recent morning when Josephine came in with a brave idea.

“She asked me to build her shelf in my room under the window so that her filled animals could see her when she returned home from school,” she recalls. “And I was like,” It’s really specific. ”

The star of the food network told her daughter, “Show me what you are talking about.”

“And she’s like,” I want a shelf from here to here that is held here, so I can put all my animals to face and see the approach when I get home from school, “he says.” And I was so touched and proud that she lay in bed looking out the window and designed the whole thing in her head, and then she appeared up and was like “I want this thing on my window.”

AND Children of Championship Baking Cohost says that reminded him of the way his own mind works.

“There was something in the fact that she was able to visualize what she wanted, because I was doing the same,” she explains. “My wife, she constantly sees me to go into space, because somehow I will pull out the zone, and this is because I try to figure out how to build a cake, and I’m like:” Okay, I need this piece of tube here, and here it needs a little engine. ”

“But I do it in my head, and my daughter did it, and I was so proud of her that I could just design this thing in my head, and then tell me what she wanted and articulated,” she adds.

Goldman recently shared another creative request by Josephine: a brain cake for his fourth birthday.

“So, after a Halloween, I asked Josephine what kind of cake she wanted about her birthday and she immediately said” the brain, “Goldman wrote on Instagram on February 9th.

“I asked the Witch’s Night and she didn’t change her answer once. She wanted the brain. I’m a cake guy, if my daughter wants the brain, she gets a brain,” he added.

At the accompaniment of the photograph, she showed Goldman smiling as he wore a hilariously detailed pink confection, with big Googly eyes and candles.

“Josephine is 4?! That blows my mind,” it was written with a purple glaze under the cake.

Goldman tells people that he thought Josephine would eventually change her cake of her choice.

“I was like,” You want Bluey? “And she’s like,” No, “she recalls.” “You want Minnie Mouse?” “No.”

“So, I succeeded, and it was super strange, and everyone loved him, and it was totally ridiculous, man,” he adds.
