Dushyant Chautala is an Indian politician from Haryana. He is the founder of the Janata Party (JJP) and Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana.

Dushyant Chautala was born on Sunday, April 3, 1988 in Daroli, Hisar, Haryana (age 35; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Aries. He was educated at St. Mary’s School, Hisar, Haryana, and Lawrence School, Sanawa, Himachal Pradesh. Thereafter, he moved to California to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree. in Business Administration from California State University. He returned to India to pursue his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the National Law University. Dushyant Chautala belongs to the Jat family. His parents, father Ajay Singh Chautala and mother Naina Singh Chautala, are politicians. His younger brother Digvijay Singh Chautala is also a politician. He married Meghna Chautala on April 18, 2017.
Profession
Dushyant became active in politics after completing his university education. He joined the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). His great-grandfather Chaudhary Devi Lal founded INLD and his grandfather Om Prakash Chautala was the chairman of INLD. In 2014, he contested and won the Lok Sabha elections from Hisar Lok Sabha constituency in Haryana.
He was expelled from INLD on November 2, 2018 by his grandfather Om Prakash Chautala. On December 9, 2018, he formed his own political party, the Janata Party (JJP). In January 2019, JJP participated in the Jind by-election and came in second place. This is a major achievement for the JJP; as the party was only a month old, they ranked second.
In 2019, the PPP contested the Lok Sabha elections as allies with the Janata Party, but failed and could not win a single seat. In October 2019, JJP contested the Haryana Assembly elections and won 10 seats. This is also the party’s first appearance in the parliamentary elections. The BJP had won 40 seats and they could not reach half of the number to form the government, so they formed the government with the support of the BJP. Manohar Lal Khattar was appointed as the Chief Minister of Haryana and Dushyant Chautala was appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana.

On November 2, 2018, Dushyant Chautala and his brother Digvijay Chautala were expelled from INLD by their grandfather Om Prakash Chautala. They were dismissed for misbehavior, hooliganism, spreading disaffection and violating discipline. Dushyant’s supporters reportedly raised slogans for him to become the chief ministerial candidate of the National Democratic Alliance without any orders or instructions from the party office. Om Prakash Chautala said-
It was difficult for me to expel Dushyant and Digvijay from the party as they are my grandsons, but the party is above anyone else and I expelled them for the sake of the party. “
