EAGLE-EYED royal fans spotted a mistake in Meghan Markle’s New Year’s Day Instagram post.
The Duchess of Sussex returned to social networks like a bomb yesterday with a video of her running barefoot on the beach and writing 2025 in the sand.

The unexpected snap, shared on Meghan’s Instagram, is her first personal online post in years.
Meghan (43) can be seen in the video running towards the sea on a large beach in an all-white outfit.
She was then seen drawing near-perfect New Year’s cursive digits – “2025” – in the sand, perhaps hinting at an upcoming project.
However, sharp-eyed fans spotted a clue that suggested it wasn’t the first time the mother-of-two had written numbers.
At the beginning of the video, as Meghan tries to find the best place to write down the numbers, followers noticed her walking past another “2025” written in the sand, along with numerous footprints.
The multiple footprints in the left corner suggest that it took several passes to achieve the final, polished version.
A number of sharp-eyed onlookers noticed previous marks on the sand and it soon sparked a debate on social media.
One viewer wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “I wonder how many it took to get that perfect shot?”
Another commented: “Well observed, obviously takes some practice to get the light right.”
Another said: “I thought she was known for her attention to detail.”

The video was reportedly shot by her husband Prince Harry, 40, on the beach in Montecito, California, near the couple’s home.
It was uploaded around 8 a.m. Montecito time on New Year’s Day.
The recording does not have any music – but you can hear the breeze in the background.
The video was posted yesterday on her new personal Instagram page, which has the username @meghan and 787,000 followers at the time of writing.
Meghan’s new account has already achieved verified status on Instagram, receiving the platform’s blue tick on Thursday.
Meghan’s best friend, Daniel Martin, welcomed the return with his own post on Instagram, declaring “my sister is back!”
Hinting at the potential project, he added: “Watch this space…”
Another royal expert spoke to The Sun about how the video signals Meghan’s intentions for 2025.
It comes amid rumors Meghan will host her own show this year celebrating “the joys of cooking, gardening, fun and friendship”.
The series was reportedly created to complement her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.
However, there have been few updates on it, and no release date in sight.
Meghan plans to ‘earn £800k per post’ on Instagram
By Ryan Merrifield
Meghan Markle is set to earn £800,000 per post on her new Instagram account, it has been claimed.
However, the Duchess of Sussex has reportedly turned off comments on her new Instagram account to avoid any backlash.
Meghan can then be seen drawing the numbers 2025 in the sand while wearing an all-white ensemble.
He finally turns to the camera and smiles before playfully running away.
The clip is titled simply “@meghan”.
Experts previously estimated that the former Hollywood actress, 43, could earn $1m (£790,000) per post as the “absolute minimum”, MailOnline reports.
The launch of the Duchess’ new account – which replaced her old Meghanmarkle Instagram which had 3 million followers – comes after the Sussexes vowed to stay on social media.
The couple said they had to deal with an “almost unbearable” amount of abuse.
The beach snap – Meghan’s first social media post in years – was uploaded on Wednesday, but fans questioned why she had turned off comments.
One person called her a “coward”, although many others showed support for the decision.
