Eamon Lynch Wikipedia, golf, biography, wife, age, nationality: Phil Mickelson continues to make headlines, but not because of how well he plays golf. Golf Channel reporter Eamon Lynch attacked Mickelson, calling him a “pawn of assassins” and a “viable pawn for the Saudis”.

The Public Investment Fund, Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, has invested around $1 billion in LIV Golf, which Mickelson has supported since its inception.
In the midst of the LIV Golf crisis, Phil Mickelson suffers an incredible murder.
LIV’s detractors argue that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is in the sports business, using sports to enhance its reputation on the world stage despite its dismal human rights record. That’s what Mickelson knows, and Lynch has a problem with it.
About 15 months ago, Mickelson told author Alan Shipnuck: “We know [Saudi Arabia] delicate [Washington Post journalist Jamal] Khashoggi has a terrible human rights record. “There he executes people who are homosexual.” He even called the Saudis “terrible sons of bitches” when he spoke to Shipnuck about them.

“Why would I even think about it knowing all this?” Mickelson said. “Because this is an unprecedented opportunity to change the way the PGA Tour is run.”

The PGA Tour organization has actually changed since then. The tour structure was recently changed to include more competitions, bigger prize pools and guaranteed money for players who lose shares.
Despite this, Mickelson continues to support LIV Golf and respond to its detractors. Both writers debated with Mickelson on this and have similar views on LIV Golf.
“As I have said many times, LIV Golf is not so much a sports entity as [Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia] trying to hide his crimes and launder his reputation by buying sports stars,” Chamblee tweeted. “Any deal or concession to them is a deal with a murderous dictator.”
However, Chamblee blocked Mickelson on Twitter in an effort to prevent further communication with the six-time Grand Slam champion there. Lynch took revenge on Mickelson for continuing to question his detractors.

“[Mickelson] insists that criticism of LIV is a matter of commerce (a tour set up against Skorojevic), a matter of conspiracy (a tour set up to try to prevent Skorojevic from gaining market appeal) or a matter of collusion (various entities and individuals conspiring with a tour set up to stifle Skorojevic),” Lynch wrote. He avoids that LIV’s objections can also legitimately be matters of conscience.
LIV Golf certainly has its controversies. More could emerge over time, particularly if the Saudi-sponsored tour is required to register as a foreign principal under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).
LIV Golf will have to disclose its financial history, income and business objectives if requested to do so by the US Department of Justice.
