The former Good Morning Britain star added that his family were “blessed, relieved and happy”.

The TV veteran was showered with good wishes.

Another said: “Welcome to the world baby x Congratulations everyone!”

A third said: “Aww congratulations Eamonn – so lovely for you all.”

Declan and Jenny’s first child, daughter Amelia, was born in 2001, weighing 7 pounds 6 ounces.

Speaking about the arrival to wife Ruth Langsford on This Morning, an emotional Eamonn said: “I wasn’t so ready for this.”

“I am very, very happy, little Amelia!”

The latest baby news has lifted Eamonn’s spirits after a difficult year of debilitating health issues.

The TV presenter had back surgery last October after severe chronic pain.

However, just two weeks into his recovery he suffered a dramatic fall down the stairs at his villa in Weybridge, Surrey, where his wife Ruth was forced to call for medical help.

Eamonn gave fans a health update on his GB News breakfast show in September.

Speaking to his guest Tim Franklin, the former Sky News Sunrise presenter remarked: “I can’t run, I can’t walk, I can’t do anything but watch TV and eat.

Turning to the panelist, he indicated that he was struggling to build the energy to heal and remarked, “You are a good motivation for all of us.

“What would you say to people out there who just don’t have that motivation?”
