Susanna Reid has been praised by her followers on Twitter after she hit back at a Good Morning Britain viewer who criticized her on social media.
The journalist responded to an online troll’s tweet that read: “Susanna Reid is fatter this morning. The bed sheets that have been stained with fake tan have NOT been washed. The bed sheets need a lot of washing. times or throw away #GMB @GMB.”
The viewer, named Ken, was referring to a debate from Tuesday’s edition of the show in which Susanna and her co-host Ed Balls debated whether hotels should whether a “tanning tax” should be imposed on guests who wear fake tan and stained bed sheets.

Susanna was quick to respond to the negative comment and joked: “Change the washing powder Ken. My complexion isn’t particularly thick – how dare you!”
The 52-year-old’s Twitter followers showed their support in the comments section, with one person writing: “Well said @susannareid100,” while another dropped a string of emojis. clapped and added: “Great comeback!”

A third fan commented: “Susanna, you’re a beauty no matter how bronzed you are! Fat is something you definitely don’t have.”

Susanna asked Tracey to clarify her argument after she claimed the government wrote a “climate denial report” behind the scenes telling the public it was dealing with climate change.

“Tell us what happened?” Susanna asked, prompting Tracey to reply, “What happened to you?”
Susanna quickly retorted, politely declaring, “Sorry, you don’t have to call me best friend.”
Viewers took to social media to praise Susanna’s response, with one person writing: “Susanna was straight to her when she called her dear”, while another added: “Sorry. , you don’t have to call me dear! Susanna said well, I did, giggling.”

Susan’s tweet comes amid good news for the show, which was honored at the TRIC Awards at the end of June.
The GMB team donned their gorgeous costumes to the ceremony at Park Lane’s Grosvenor House, where the play received a special award.
Susanna celebrated the news with an Instagram post to pay tribute to the program’s staff. Sharing a selfie of the team, which included Ed Balls, Charlotte Hawkins and Laura Tobin, gathered around their gong, Susanna wrote in the caption: “TEAM SPECIAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT!!!!! Congratulations @ gmb, it takes a special team to get through the night to do their best job at 6am.
