Biography of Edith Head
Edith Head was born in the lovely town of San Bernardino, California, and grew up in the town of Searchlight, Nevada. She is the child of Max Posener and Anna E. Levy. Her father immigrated to the United States in 1876 as a naturalized American citizen from Germany.
In terms of education, Head attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Science. Stanford University awarded her a Master of Arts degree in Romance Languages in 1920. Furthermore, this lady is white and of American nationality.

Career
The Paramount film was undoubtedly a turning point in her career. When she designed the costumes for Dorothy Lamour in “Princess of the Jungle”, Edith was eventually nicknamed “The Doctor”. By 1938, this versatile designer had risen to the position of Paramount’s chief costume designer.
Unfortunately, Gulf & Western Industries took over the company in 1967, and Head was forced to leave. As a result, she moved to Universal Studios. There she had a small house with a front door covered with golden shingles. Not to mention that the shingle was shaped like a woman’s body.
Edith Head Death
The world was in mourning after Edith died on October 24, 1981, just before her 84th birthday. At the time, she was battling myeloid myelofibrosis, a rare bone marrow disease.
She was working on a new film just a few weeks before her death. According to reports, Head died Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Hollywood.

In 1940, this American bride walked down the aisle with Wiard Ihnen. Speaking of Ihnen, he was an art director and set designer for Paramount who was born in New Jersey. Her husband, on the other hand, died of prostate cancer in 1979, at the age of 81.
