Edward James Olmos, star of Battlestar Galactica, was married three times. After his first two marriages failed, he married his third wife, Lymari Nadal. Nadal, like Olmos, is an actress. American Gangster (2007), The Blackout (2014) and Kreep are some of the films she has worked on during her career (2016).
Olmos and his wife also collaborated on Battlestar Galactica. However, the difference of 31 years drew the most attention to their marriage. This is why Olmos’ friendship with Nadal was widely mentioned at the beginning. But as time passed, the debates disappeared from the public eye. Since then, there has not been much information about Olmos and Nadal. And, although numerous websites claim that they are still married, there have also been claims that the two have already divorced.

Olmos and Lymari married in 2002. For the next decade, the couple kept their relationship private, rarely speaking about it in public. At the time, several allegations surfaced claiming that their relationship was in shambles. In 2013, Lymari revealed to the magazine TVyNovelas Puerto Rico that they were separated. “We’ve been separated for a while now,” she said.
Lymari revealed further details about their relationship. “He’s a fantastic guy and we’ve had a fantastic relationship.” He is like a father figure to my child.”
Edward James Olmos is the father of six children.
Olmos was married twice before he met Lymari. His first marriage was to the daughter of actress Howard Keel, Kaija Keel. Olmos and Kaija had two children after their wedding on December 29, 1971: sons Bodie Olmos and Mica Olmos, who followed in their father’s footsteps and became actors. Mico appeared in a number of series, including American Playhouse (1982), Testament (1983), Human Error (2004) and Filly Brown (2006). (2012).
Bodie was also featured at the American Playhouse with his brother Mica. Stand and Deliver (1988), American Family (2002), Resilience (2006) and Battlestar Galactica are some of the numerous TV programs and films in which he appeared (2004-2009). In addition to his two children with Kaija, Olmos adopted four other children: Daniela, Michael, Brandon and Tamiko.
His children helped him marry another woman.
Olmos divorced his first wife Kaija in 1992, after almost two decades of marriage. The actor later went on to date The Sopranos’ Lorraine Bracco. They got married on January 28, 1994 in the Versailles Room of the New York Hotel St. Regis. There were 100 people at the wedding, and Olmos was led by his four sons. Bracco said their children played a significant role in their walk down the aisle during their wedding.
“The children urged us to get married,” she said. “They’re the ones who kept saying ‘Come on!’” Unfortunately, their marriage didn’t work out well. After five years of separation, the couple divorced in 2002.
