Yihan has loved acting since he was a child. As a child, he used to watch a lot of movies and imitate the characters in front of his friends and cousins. He studied engineering for a while in Delhi and soon realized that he was interested in acting. He dropped out of school to pursue an acting career. Ehan received acting training with Bernard Shearer at the Bernard Shearer Acting Studio in Los Angeles. In 2015, he auditioned for the Hindi film 99 Songs and was selected to play the lead role in the film.
