Elden Ring: How To Get Inescapable Frenzy

Inescapable Frenzy is an Incantation in Elden Ring that has its caster latch onto a nearby enemy and blast flames of Frenzy into their target’s eyes. Requiring 21 Faith and costing 32 FP, this Spell inflicts a massive amount of Madness buildup into an opponent, resulting in instant death for those who do not have the HP pool to withstand the damage. While Elden Ring Tarnished can cast Inescapable Frenzy on certain humanoid enemies, this Incantation is best utilized in PvP fights or battles against NPC Tarnished.

However, there are three drawbacks of Inescapable Frenzy. The first weakness is that the Incantation has a brief yet risky priming cast time. The caster will grab their head in agony for about a second before seizing their target, which is more than enough time to dodge or perform a counterattack. Furthermore, the player will need to be very close to their opponent for the Spell to land, meaning that they will be at a disadvantage when fighting foes well-versed in long-ranged battles. Finally, the third drawback of Inescapable Frenzy is obtaining it, as the path to acquiring it can be somewhat “Madness-inducing” in itself.

Inescapable Frenzy is located within the map-less sewers of the Royal Capital of Leyndell, the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds. This winding labyrinth of tunnels is accessed by going down the well north of the Lower Capital Church and can be tricky to navigate through. Those in the end-game can still access the sewers by going down the giant hole near the center of the Ashen Capital. Nevertheless, once Tarnished arrive at the Underground Roadside Site of Grace, they must proceed onward to the Forsaken Depths, after which they will arrive at the Cathedral of the Forsaken.

Within the underground cathedral, Tarnished must face Mohg the Omen to proceed. The Dungeon Boss does not have any difficult movesets but still has a far reach with abilities that inflict bleeding. Once Mohg has been defeated, attack the altar behind the Site of Grace to remove the Illusory Wall in Elden Ring. Descend the tunnel to arrive at an abyssal hole lined with sarcophagi.

From here, Tarnished must complete the jumping puzzle but cautiously drop down from beams to the stone casket covers. As this endeavor may take several attempts, players are advised to use their remaining Runes before venturing further. Once adventurers reach the lowest level, they will find a corpse hanging from a ledge with the Inescapable Frenzy Incantation.

Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
